Saturn and It's Remedy:

There are many myths and beliefs about how to gain mercy from Saturn. But non of the beliefs which exist today have proven good /useful in gaining mercy from Lord Saturn.

I would like to present in front of you a small shloka from Brihat Samhita here.

If you see this shloka and its translation Saturn rules over Regions of:

  • Saurashtra
  • Pushkara
  • Arbuda Mount
  • Raivataka Mount

If we see these places today they lies in West india

Saurashtra is in Gujarat

Pushkara in Ajmer

Arbuda Mount

Raivataka Mount (It is known as Grinar hill today presently in junagadh)

As the book Mentions these are the areas were Saturn Presides. That means ancient temples of these areas must be best place to visit and gain Mercy from Lord Saturn.

You would say, Yes!!

If we try to understand these area you will find these area have Shaktism (Prayer to Goddess) sect Predominance.

These areas don't have predominance of Shaivism.

This gives us a big contradiction to what is generally believed that deity of Saturn is Lord Shiva.

That means if we want to appease Lord Saturn we should pray to Goddess Shakti. Not Lord Shiva as they Rule over some other planet.

Now, what are the ancient temples of these areas:

  1. Arbuda Mount has Mata ji temple (Shaktism)

2. Grinar hill/Raivataka has Amba ji temple

3. Pushkar has Savitri Mata temple

Thus, We can conclude that if we wish to nullify bad effects of Saturn we need to pray to Various forms of Maa Shakti, she will bless us with freedom from bad effects of Saturn.

If you have afflicted Saturn you can definitely try fasting on Friday and Navratri.
